Which Yoga Classes to Take?

Like all studio classes the best yoga class to take is the one you love so much you can’t stop doing it. That said any yoga is better than no yoga so it’s important not to get too bogged down in the detail. If in doubt start with a beginners yoga class and speak to your yoga instructor about what you liked and didn’t like most. They will be able to best advise you on what the best fit is for you.

Yoga or Pilates

Yoga is an ancient practice focusing on flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. Pilates, a modern system developed for physical fitness, emphasises core strength and posture with less focus on the mindfulness element. Yoga incorporates a wide range of postures and deep breathing, while Pilates features controlled movements and often employs equipment. The choice between them depends on your preference for either a holistic, mindful approach (yoga) or a fitness-focused, core-strengthening one (Pilates).

How Yoga helps you disconnect and recharge

Yoga provides an excellent way to disconnect and recharge your mind. Through its mindful practice, it encourages deep breathing, relaxation, and a focus on the present moment, allowing you to let go of stress and distractions. The combination of physical postures, meditation, and controlled breath work fosters a sense of calm and inner peace, making yoga an effective tool for unwinding, reducing anxiety, and rejuvenating the mind and body away from the noise of daily life.
